Parks and Recreation

From a day spent barbecuing with the family, a weekend camping and hiking or simply running on a sunny evening – there are countless ways to enjoy the many parks in the Pine Bush area. We have acres of parks to fit the community’s needs all within easy driving distance for residents and visitors to Pine Bush.

The Town of Crawford public parks

The Town of Crawford public parks are located on Red Mills Road and Lybolt Road. Each park contains pavilions and barbeque pits, which are available to the public. Reservations for park pavilions can be made through the Town Clerks Office.

Normal Park season is April 1st – November 1st.
Parks open at 8:00 AM and close at dusk.

Verkeerder Kill Park

Verkeerder Kill Park, a town park, consists of eighty-three acres located on Route 52 one mile northwest of New Prospect Road. The park offers a pavilion with winter skating, restrooms, a nature trail, a fishing area, and the only soccer field in town outside of school facilities. A softball field is scheduled for installation.

Circleville Park

Located on Route 302 in Circleville New York this is a town of Wallkill Town Park. Home of the Boys and Girls Club Clubhouse and Summer Recreation Program, it also provides residents and visitors with a beautiful lake for fishing, sports fields, playgrounds, tennis courts, and picnic areas.

Sam’s Point Reserve

Perched atop the highest point of the Shawangunk Ridge, south of Mohonk and Minnewaska State Park Preserves, lies Sam’s Point Preserve — 5,400 acres sheltering one of the best examples of ridgetop dwarf pine barrens in the world. Home to nearly 40 rare plant and animal species and three rare natural communities, the northern Shawangunks represent one of the highest priorities for conservation in the Northeastern United States.

Winding Hills Park and Campground

A picturesque landscape with many amenities for anyone that enjoys what nature and the outdoors has to offer. Campground and day picnic area. Our camping area consists of 51-sites for camping vehicles or tents located in a heavily wooded area. Each site contains a picnic table and fire ring.
